World’s fastest battery charger line brings Lenmar

Lenmar Enterprises, Inc., a leading manufacturer of rechargeable batteries, battery chargers and accessories for consumer electronics, today announced that its award-winning Mach 1® SpeedCharger™ line has been honored for the second year in a row with the prestigious CES Innovations Award. The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) presents the Best of Innovations Awards to the most highly honored products in all facets of the consumer technology industry.

The Innovations 2003 Design and Engineering Showcase, has honored this year’s most innovative products in 21 categories. A panel of prominent industry designers, engineers and journalists judge the Innovations 2003 Design and Engineering Awards. For the eighth year, the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) is endorsing and acting as advisors to the Design & Engineering Showcase. Product evaluations are based on four weighted criteria: User Value; Aesthetics; Contributions to the Quality of Life; and Innovative Qualities.

Lenmar’s second-year-in-a-row honor for the Mach 1 is based on applying its patented breakthrough technology to 3.6 Volt battery products, thus meeting the needs of consumers in the rapidly growing digital camera market. The new Mach 1 Alpha benefits consumers by providing better value and improved performance for their products.
