New heavy-duty high tech battery isolators

Mastervolt is proud to announce the introduction of a new high class range of IVO MV battery isolators, replacing a non-brand owned product line. Battery isolators are used to charge 2 or more separate battery banks at the same time as an alternative to manual battery switches which are becoming obsolete. The solid state IVO battery isolators guarantee a fully automatic distribution of the charge current, while a battery switch require ‘human’ involvement.

Mastervolt offers the IVO MV isolators with models of 70, 120 and 160 Amps and suitable for two or three battery sets, and the IVO BM or Battery Mate which is our new 160 Amps three bank voltage drop free battery isolator. These battery isolators are ideal to be used with a Mastervolt battery charger, the higher powered 12 and 24V versions have dual output as standard. Mastervolt prefers to install an external battery isolator above a three-way internal connection in order to enhance the operating temperature of the battery charger. Another application field is the use with 12 or 24V alternators which have to charge two separate sets.

The new isolators are made of light-weight aluminium extrusions combined with injected Valox parts. The heavy duty diodes are fixed in an isolating potting material ; the stainless steel connection bolds for the battery cables are extremely solid and can hold thick cables easily. The specially designed mounting foots ensure a fast and solid installation job. The new products will become available during Spring 2003. The prices of the previous ranges will remain valid.
