Yuasa introduces new hand-held digital battery tester
Yuasa Battery Inc., a world leader in original equipment and replacement batteries for the powersports industry, has introduced a new, state-of-the-art battery tester designed specifically for use with 12-volt sealed VRLA/MF/AGM, Yumicron and conventional batteries.
The Yuasa BTY01 Digital Battery Tester – available to consumers now at Certified Yuasa Battery Dealers throughout the country – accurately tests lead-acid batteries in motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles, snowmobiles, scooters, personal watercraft, riding mowers, and other sport utility vehicles. The hand-held unit tests batteries according to A.H. rating, from 2 A.H. to 35 A.H., and is ideal for testing discharged batteries.
David Beidler, Yuasa’s Director of Product Engineering, said the BTY01 Digital Battery Tester has many convenient features that make testing powersports batteries fast, simple and safe. The new tester features single load dynamic resistance technology to minimize battery drain during testing, and has a large, easy-to-read LCD screen that indicates a good or bad battery and its recharge and percentage capacity.
