Fun roadster Streetka by Ford relies on Varta
Since the beginning of 2003, the new Streetka by Ford is shooting along on German streets. The sleek roadster in a modern design exclusively uses Varta batteries for starting. Extraordinarily out of the ordinary, chic and sleek, the Streetka stands for a young and new way of life. It was developed and manufactured by the Italian design factory Pininfarina. Varta batteries supply it with electricity to start.
"Given that Varta is the largest battery supplier for Ford Europe, Pininfarina did not have to look far to select Varta for the 100% just-in-time delivery", says Ralf Sternberg, Varta's key account manager for first-time supplies to Ford.
Varta has been taking care of the Ford newcomer already since the beginning of the pilot phase. The convertible is started by batteries featuring the new silver-calcium technology, which has powered many a Ford model in the course of the last five years.
