Erskine launches switch-tripping battery charger
Erskine Systems Limited, the leading UK designer and manufacturer of battery based AC and DC power systems, and subsidiary of global electronics manufacturing company TT electronics plc, announces the launch of its new range of industrial ‘Switch Tripping’ battery chargers.
The industrial 110W switchmode rectifiers are compact and efficient, and can be supplied as a stand-alone power supply, or as part of a complete DC power package including wall mounted enclosure, alarm and control unit, and battery.
The rectifier range covers nominal DC output voltages 12V, 24V, 30V, 48V, 60V, and 110V, and with a constant voltage current limited output, allows multiple rectifiers to be connected in parallel for redundancy or increased power.
Typically, these rectifiers are used in switch tripping applications where the rectifier operates in parallel with a rechargeable lead acid or nickel cadmium battery. The rectifier supplies small continuous loads, such as for instrumentation and indication lamps, whilst maintaining the battery in a fully charged state. The battery is rated to supply any high capacity, short duration switch/circuit breaker tripping and closing loads.
The rectifiers are also suitable for many other types of DC load, including generator control panels and battery charging, telemetry systems, and industrial controllers.
